Dr. Donna Clayton-Lee is originally from Fort Collins, CO who graduated with a BS in Animal Sciences from Colorado State in 2014. She ventured to the Midwest to go to veterinary school at the University of Missouri and graduated in 2018. It was in vet school that she met her husband, James, and decided to stay in Missouri. Upon graduation, Dr. Donna decided to join My Best Friend, having done an externship with them during vet school, and enjoying the staff, clientele and their commitment to quality medicine. She has a particular interest in oncology, ophthalmology, and exotic animal medicine. Dr. Donna emphasizes stress free handling, especially in cats, and considers it one of the most important aspects of the medicine she practices.
Dr. Donna enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her furry children. She is an avid sports fan and is learning to love the St. Louis sports teams. She has 5 animals – Maggie, Boo Bear, Athena, Roxy and Bubbles. While these cats and dogs may not always get along at the end of the day you will find all of them in bed together. And yes, all 5 of them are girls!
